A local. fast-growing specialty group is seeking an Controls Engineer to lead the design, modernization, and installation oversight of control systems for specialty manufacturing clientelle. As Controls Engineer the focus is on developing and implementing cutting-edge automation solutions to optimize performance and efficiency. Controls Engineer Requirements:
- Proficiency with PLCs, programming, and trouble shooting and knowledge of automation practices is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (with I&E/control system emphasis), or equivalent significant work experience in the field is is required.
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RSloigx5000 is preferred.
- Familiarity with WinCC, Wonderware InTouch, or FactoryTalk HMI systems is preferred.
- The ability to apply engineering principles to solve design problems is essential.
- The capacity to work independently with minimal supervision is necessary.
- Willingness to travel for project support is expected.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are required.
Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
- PLC-based automation control systems are designed and deployed, integrating motion control, sensors, VFD drives, and actuators.
- Ongoing support for existing systems is provided, troubleshooting and ensuring seamless functionality.
- Level 1 control systems are programmed based on function descriptions and layouts.
- Collaboration with project teams, internal experts, and customers to engineer solutions for technical challenges.
- Comprehensive testing and simulation of systems are conducted prior to delivery.
- On-site commissioning and training sessions are executed as required.
